I love the juxtaposition of this really rustic, imperfect wood paired with the French expression “C’est la vie.” All too true, things are not always beautiful and perfect, but “that’s life.” It’s those bumps and rough spots that give us challenges and make us appreciate all we have to be thankful for. Okay, okay, I’ll get off my horse now, but hopefully you’ll find meaning in this piece, made from hand-painted lettering on part of an old door (hinge intact).
